Genesis began gathering in a living room in March of 2012, but the dream of a church in the neighborhoods surrounding San Diego's Balboa Park was born years before.

God had given us a dream of a church that would ooze hospitality, creativity, and love.

Our desire was to cultivate a church that would be a spiritual home for people who don't feel at home in church.

We desperately needed to be part of a community centered on Jesus above all else. We are captivated by a faith that is about drawing nearer and nearer to the source of life: Jesus.

Kids are cared for by our awesome children's ministry team during the worship service and then join us for dinner afterwards. Because we value the safety of our children all children's ministry team members have been background checked before they can serve in the ministry.
